Our commitment to safe products
As a publisher, it is important to us to ensure the safety of our products for all consumers. In accordance with the EU General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR), we ensure that all books and publications from our publishing house meet the highest safety standards.
Risk assessment and documentation
We carry out a careful risk analysis for each of our products in-house. As a manufacturer, we check whether there are any risks and document this in technical documentation. This documentation is kept for at least 10 years and made available to the responsible supervisory authorities upon request.
Safety-relevant properties and hazard analysis
Books without additional features or additional functions generally do not pose a risk to the health or safety of consumers. Therefore, according to Art. 9, Paragraph 7 of the GPSR Regulation, such products are exempt from the obligation to include additional safety information.
For books that were published before the regulation came into force and that do not have any special safety-relevant properties, we consider the risk to be low. If you still have questions about a title, we as the manufacturer are happy to help.
Transparency and traceability
We ensure that every book is provided with the necessary information for identification and traceability. This includes information such as ISBN and edition. This means that we can always see which production a book comes from and react quickly and effectively if necessary.
Safety information
For books without extras or special functions, no additional safety information is required according to Art. 9, Paragraph 7 of the GPSR Regulation. However, if a book contains extras that require special precautions, these are clearly indicated.
